How your Donation Helps
All our highly trained members in Marine Rescue Lake Macquarie are volunteers, whose time is spent manning the radio base at Swansea Heads on a 24 hour schedule, every day of the year. Our rescue vessels, berthed at our Pelican Boat Base, are manned during daylight hours with night-time rescues arranged by the radio crews on a call-out basis. Two rescue boats and three jetskis are currently in our fleet to help you.
We are grateful for the generous financial support we receive from the NSW Government and the boating community of NSW but we also rely on the energetic fundraising activities of our volunteers, grants, sponsors and donors to help keep us rescue-ready.
